Dr. Christine Mroz

The single most important factor in the success of the Mroz-Baier Breast Clinic is its Medical Director, Dr. Mroz. As a board certified general surgeon, in practice in Memphis since 1978, she has always had special interest in breast disease. Beginning in 1986, she directed annual continuing education seminars for other physicians about breast problems. Her interest in educating other physicians continues today, teaching radiology and surgery  at the Mroz-Baier Breast Care Clinic, as well as training other surgeons and radiologists in stereotactic breast biopsy, both at the clinic and for the American College of Surgeons.

She entered Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York, in 1968. She went on to do her training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She began surgical practice in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1978.

Dr. Mroz has staff privileges at Baptist, Methodist, and St Francis hospitals, she is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Southeastern Surgical Congress, Priestley (Mayo Surgical) Society, and on the board of directors of the international Mayo medical Alumni Association, ( 14 years ). She is now the President Emeritus of this 15,000 member Association.
