The concept of a total breast care clinic was inspired by the breast cancer experience and death of Julie Bourgeois Baier, first wife of founder Joseph L. Baier, Jr. The clinic became a reality after he met and married Dr. Christine Mroz , a breast surgeon. Together they built the only comprehensive full service breast center in the Mid South,combining state of the art technology with state of the heart emotional support for patients with breast cancer. Also offering a comprehensive center for annual diagnostic check ups.
The Mroz-Baier Breast Care Clinic at 6005 Park Ave. Suite 700, with its comfortable decor and caring staff that are always conscious of the emotional strain that brings a patient through the door, and the latest in diagnostic modalities, strives to alleviate patient anxiety and frustration. The one-stop center offers bone density studies, nurse practitioner services and allows the patient to be examined, imaged, biopsied, and diagnosed in 24 hours. If additional procedures are necessary, Dr. Mroz and Dr. Oswaks, certified general surgeons, can perform ultrasound and any required surgery. Plastic surgery is performed by the clinic's associates, Dr. Nicholas Economides and Dr. Francisco Rilloraza.
